Despina Gonidaki
Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders & Obesity

Despina Gonidaki lives and works in Athens. She completed her studies in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Technical University of Thessaly (2013). During her studies she received an undergraduate scholarship and the 1st prize of I.K.Y. (State Scholarship Foundation) while simultaneously working as a laboratory assistant in the department. In her thesis she dealt with the evaluation of strategic interventions to deal with obesity in teenagers. As part of her internship, which she carried out at the Children's Hospital 'Agia Sophia', she attended cases from infants to teenagers with various diseases such as Cystic Fibrosis, Type I Diabetes, Dyslipidemias, Nutritional Disorders, Obesity, Nephropathy, Celiac Disease, Hypo/Hyperthyroidism, etc. a. After completing her studies, she works privately as a dietician. He holds a license to practice the profession of Dietitian Nutritionist. From 2013 to 2014 she was a volunteer in the Nutrition and Promotion of Healthy Diet program - NUTRITION carried out in public schools by the PROLESPIS institute (Institute of Preventive, Environmental and Occupational Medicine).

From her first contact with the science of nutrition, she had the desire to have the ability to offer a more complete and global dietary guidance. Her later education was guided by this desire.

In 2017, she completed further training "Specialization in Eating Disorders and Obesity" from the National Center for Eating Disorders of Great Britain (NCFED). In 2019, he also completed a cycle of seminars on Counseling and Communication skills for Dietitians from the Psychological Applications center. These two programs set him apart from other seminars/retrainings, as they helped him acquire tangible supplies and tools to transform his philosophy as a strategy expert.

Her purpose and philosophy as a dietician is, at the same time as the request of each person who collaborates, individually to bring about the conscious modification of their eating behavior in a more permanent context as well as the restoration of the person's relationship with food.

Since 2017, he is part of the scientific team of the Pediatric Endocrine Clinics. Feeling the need for the cooperation with children and adolescents to be as specialized as possible, in 2021 he completed the Master Nutritionist in Pediatric Nutrition training from EL.DE.E. (Hellenic Nutrition Society). Regardless of the above trainings that stands out, she has not stopped and will continue to devote time to her training, attending training programs and conferences of certified organizations in the field of Nutrition.
